Its (WIND)sday

Yesterday was a gorgeous day. Warm, sunny and even nice enough to inspire me to clean. OUTSIDE.
Today, however is not as desirable. Rain, cold, wind and lots of it.
The Hubby is gone at a training seminar and The Kid and I are left to hold the fort for a few more hours.
I am soooo ready for spring!!!!!!

The Herman Crab

The Kid wants a kitty, but since we can't get one just yet, we bribed him with an obvious alternate. A hermit crab. Ha.. Yeah, not quite as snugly and cuddly as a furry kitten. Not as interesting either. The high lights are when we actually see him come out of his shell and poke his eyes out.
I didn't realize they were high maintenance either. You have to water them several times a day to keep them moist. In the store after The Kid picked out his crab, we stood in the isle at Pet Co and tried to locate the bare essentials of a crab lair. I paid $4.00 for a bottle of water that has a sticker of a hermit crab on the label. Can you say owned? :/

I LOVE IKea

I have only recently discovered the wondrous world of IKea.. Having NOTHING for the house and starting over, and a budget to follow, I suggested we take the drive to IKea. Like a treasure map we followed the (somewhat) trusty Garmin to our destination.
By the time we got inside and started looking around I was in LOVE... We spent a few hours looking at the store room models and left little time for shopping as they closed at 9 pm...
My first visit yielded quite a deal and purchase. There is no greater joy when shopping to get a bargain and a good deal. Some serious shopping followed. Its taken a few excursions, but trip by trip we are starting to fill the house with IKea love.. Not only is it the lowest price, its made very well. I have to admit I have been a walking advertisement and a few times while in another store, recommended that someone go check out IKea before they buy.
Then we discovered that on some Sundays The Kid eats free and he loves the Swedish meat balls there. Me, I go for the cinnamon rolls, they are the best. And The Hubby, he likes just about everything.
Why couldn't I have discovered this joy earlier in life???
