That Darn Cat.....

Oh that Moe! He is the strangest cat. He has a multitude of personalities, but I can't but love him.. He was all too curious yesterday when we were out by the pond so I had to snap a picture of him....

Peanuts by the Pond....

Today Jack and I were sitting by the pond, watching the fish. He was taking a break from riding his bike and I was reading my book, "High Hopes, The Amityville Murders" ( Yeah, I like to read lightly.. ha.
We were eating peanuts and cracking them from the shell and I actually got this picture, which has not been easy. My little one has been either very shy or very mad at the Mamaratzi, and pictures have not been easy to come by.

The Enchantment

Today we took Jack to the Enchanted Forest. We had fun building the anticipation for a couple weeks and he was pretty excited to go.
The classic Storybook parts from when I was a child are still there and he went down the rabbit hole several times. He kept asking to go to the witches mouth but as expected, when we got there, he was fairly apprehensive and decided he didn't want to go in. But, with some reinforcement he went through and thought it was really fun, especially the slide exit. The western town was not what it used to be and Jack was not so interested. The haunted house was totally re-vamped from when I went last, and Justin and Jack were terrified. For me - It was great! There was an interactive shooting monsters ride, a log ride and an ice mountain ride. The later two were scary for me, but Justin and Jack wanted to go again! By the end of the day and after all was seen, we ate ice cream cones and headed home.. Here are a few pictures from our days adventure....

Tuesday Blues...

Its a nice cool, quiet morning with Jack. He's watching Tom and Jerry, eating strawberries and blueberries and I am just sitting here pondering what I am going to do today.

Fishing by Belnap...

We've taken Jack fishing several times in the last week or so. We drove east away from the heat and into the mountains. Last night he was catching fish by himself, reeling them in and everything. He was very proud. Although I did not have the camera yesterday for the fishing photo shoot, here are a few pictures from the last few days..

Jack and his bike...

Just another day on his bike...P.S. I love the new photo software Justin got for me :) Its called Serif PhotoPlus X3.

Butterfly

Yesterday morning I went out to walk Justin to the car and saw this butterfly perched on this straw of grass. The wind was blowing so it was actually harder to take than I thought it would be, but I managed.

Fishing @ Blue River

We took Jack fishing after work. Of course the scenery was beautiful and the air fresh. Of course Justin and Jack had a blast! He reeled in every fish and we stayed until the moon was high.

4th of July..

Our fourth was pretty quiet this year. We spent most of the day at Justin's Grandparents house, came home, waited for it to get dark and Jack lit sparklers. Then we sat on the deck and watched fireworks in the valley. Here are a few pictures from our day...

"its been a while"

Its been a while.. I long while.. I posted my last blog post back in March, and shortly there after we were relocated and just recently reaquired internet connection at home. I like blogging, and missed doing so. So many things have happened and come and gone and unfortunately some things will be lost; floating in that world inbetween reality and imagination. Jack has done and said some really cute things, and I wish I had wrote them down..

I hated leaving St. Helens. I really did like it there. I felt at home and Jack was just getting settled into school. Less than two weeks after he started we had to relocate. Such is life.

For a while I was working. Really working. Yard work at a lot, in the hot sun and then some office work, but I am home now. Sort of.

I have been passing the time with eBay. Buying and selling clothes mostly. My forté! Since Goodwill Sucks and Value Village kindly marked up their prices ( just the Gymboree that I was buying :/ ) my newest and greatest deals are found at St. Vincent DePaul. Unfortunately, Jack is allergic to those stores. "I'm allergic" he says, with a couple fake sneezes for effect. He is good. Too good, and although it sounds cute, its not always fun taking him there.

I started making hair bows about two months ago. Something I have never tried before ( aside from making package bows since childhood ). Some turned out cute and some not so much. I have sold quite a few and if I actually took some time I could do better.

Now, only if I could sew. Then I could actually get somewhere.. This recent idle time with internet has me searching for online instructions and tips on cute things to make and sell, and I have an arsenal of ideas just waiting for me to try.
