Rocks and Fish of Course...

This past weekend ( well Wed & Thurs for us ) we decided that in order to rejoice the 97 degree forcast for the day we would go look for rocks. The river had dropped significantly and bringing our boat would have been more hassle that it was worth so we swam down. Jack and I were all nice and bundled in life jackets. The only drawback was I couldn't bring my camera :/ How am I supposed to capture memories without a camera to take them with? I managed but I regret not having taken even one on our little adventure. I need to invest in an air tight, water proof case or something. Our adventure was fruitful and by the time we were done, everyone was exhausted.
The next morning we went shopping. Nothing to extreme. And when we had found a few bargains we headed up the Mac to Viva where just a few weeks ago we discovered the most delicious cafe in Vida. Cheeseburger baskets to die for and fresh pies. Ohh. After we indulged we headed back up to our fishing stream and the boys fished until dark..

ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hooorah for online shopping. Tonight after work, The Kid and the Hubby begrudgingly went to the mall with me to get a few things. After wandering aimlessly and carefully avoiding the play area and food court sweets, we ate a very healthy (snort) fried chicken, cabbage, rice bowl.. I would have been happy with a slab of cinnabon but Hubby just didn't think that would be a good idea.
I didn't even go shopping at Gymboree tonite!! Thats a lot of self control.. Well really it was sheer exhaustion, I didn't work hard, but I was hard at working ;)We looked for new Converse for the Kid. He is into no laces, so the slip on Cons work awesome, plus I can stick them in the sink, use a dish brush (well its very own of course) and with a little dish soap I can clean off any boy muck, mud and grime and let them air dry and they are almost back to new, or at least new enough to play in. They work soo well with him. But the Mall, totally not available. Blah. Not a whole lot out there, so online I must choose ( a little yoda talk now.. must be the sleeping pills ).. Ahhh Ambien. Sweet dreams and goodnite....

My dream about Elders....

Last night I had a dream. Which is fairly rare for my ambien nights. In this dream, Jack and I were in a very busy place and fairly invisible. Jack fell into a fast moving stream and I tried and tried to catch up with him, and the faster I ran the faster the water went. I could not get anyone to help me, despite my pleas. Finally, as I had no chance, two men out of nowhere scooped him up out of the water. My first thought was "Superman x's 2" but then I noticed under their coats were their elder badges and I knew they had the power of God with them. So, despite my uniform fetish, this dream was not one of them. It was about the Strength of God.

Twilight on the River

Just as it was getting too dark to read my book and the boys were done fishing for the day I snapped this picture as we were headed back to the car.

Fishing with the Boys...

Today we took Jack back up to the Reservoir. One of the first catches of the day was a nice water log, so I made a Kodak moment out of it.
This time we brought the "rock" boat. Boat is definitely a broad name... Raft is a better choice. It stayed afloat, mostly. The boys caught several fish, and managed to talk me into reeling one in ( I caught a Bull Trout ). Bleck. I read my Ann Rule book most of the time and enjoyed the scenery. Jack has taken to fishing very seriously.
