First Day of School

Monday was the Jack's first day of preschool!! He protested going when we were getting him ready. He was nervous, and shy.













After he found his cubby and the teacher greeted him.. He washed his hands and sat at the table in the classroom ( for lunch ) and whispered to me that we could go and come back to get him.. I managed to get a picture ( I had to sneak it after I walked out the door so he wouldn't know).





When we came to pick him up he was soo big.. It was really weird having him gone for a few hours. He made a new friend named Peyton ( a boy ). His only complaint was he didn't get to ride the bus.

The House that IKEA built...

Last night we made the trek to IKEA to pick up a dresser for our room.. The last few months I have been living out of plastic boxes that have served as our wardrobe.. Oh what fun it is to try and find stuff that way.
First stop: clearance isle.. It has become routine in our visits. Second stop: Food Mart to get Swedish Meatballs and then peruse in the giant mega mart of home goods.
We managed to creep out of the store with about $230 in merchandise. All in all we got a good deal. New dresser:

Astoria

Finally we drove to Astoria! We spent a better part of the day on the coast. We drove up to North Head Light House and stopped along the beach in Washington before crossing back over the bridge.
The day was gorgeous, warm and calm.
